On behalf of the Knights of Columbus Pensacola Council 778, welcome to our website! We are proud to celebrate over 110 years of fraternal history here in historic Pensacola, FL. Also continuing the legacy, being the first council in Pensacola and one of the original 5 councils chartered in the State which led to create the Jurisdiction of Florida. We are members of the largest Catholic Fraternal Organization in the world. We are proud to serve our area’s large Catholic community, and support our parish, St. Paul Catholic Church.
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization with over 1.8 million members. Started in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, The Knights of Columbus provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and the youth.
As Knights of Columbus, we are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood. Our Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary and is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. It is firmly committed to the protection of human life, from conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family. It was on these bedrock principles that the Order was founded over a century ago and remains true to them today.
